About Us
Kelly Wenger M.S., CCC-SLP, CMT®
I graduated from Azusa Pacific with a Bachelor's Degree in Communication studies. I pursued a post baccalaureate degree in communication science disorder from Arizona State University. From there, I ended up graduating with a Master's of Science from the University of Louisiana Monroe. My early career started in the medical setting and soon pivoted to the public education system. I have served in public education for 10 years and specialized in working with students with severe handicapping conditions and AAC (alternative augmentative communication) users.

In November of 2020, I became a first-time mom and that changed everything, as having children usually does. I started my breast-feeding journey and worked with some local IBCLC's. I started asking who was the pediatric feeding therapist they would refer to had things started to go outside their scope of practice. They told me no body. I couldn't even believe it. One IBCLC said the closest was Sacramento, San Francisco or Fresno. That answer was not good enough for me.

Luckily, my breast-feeding journey was pretty flawless and I believe that's how most women's journeys can be and therefore wanted to do better for our community. It was at that point that I knew I would pivot my career into pediatric feeding and swallowing. I pursued countless hours of continuing education in feeding therapy. I ultimately landed at the holy grail and became Feed the Peds trained.

Here we are, in present day and the doors to Nurture Well are OPEN! I am officially a feeding therapist and here to serve the community of Central Valley California. As I continued in the world of pediatric feeding therapy, it was there that I discovered Myofunctional Therapy. This certification was not part of the original plan but rapidly became a part of the bigger plan. After completing Feed The Peds, it was clear that I would continue my education journey into becoming a Certified Myofunctional Therapist. I earned my CMT® in April 2024.
Courtney Carter M.S., CCC-SLP
I am a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist with a diverse background in education and clinical practice. My journey began as an elementary classroom teacher, where I nurtured young minds and developed a deep understanding of childhood development. I graduated from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA, with an undergrad degree in Liberal Studies, followed by a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology.

With 12 years in the public education system, I’ve had the pleasure of working with students from all walks of life. I’ve also gained valuable experience in early intervention and acute care settings. I have a passion for working with children with speech sound disorders and early intervention, and I’m currently focusing on specializing in childhood apraxia of speech.

In March 2024, I took an exciting step and joined forces with my great friend and former colleague, Kelly, to open our private practice. Our goal is to provide specialized, neurodiversity-affirming, and sensory-friendly speech-language therapy to our community. We believe in a play-based approach that makes therapy engaging and effective.

When I’m not working, I’m always exploring new ways to support and advocate for the individuals I work with. I’m thrilled to continue this journey and look forward to making a positive impact in our community.
